Wow... How time flies!

It feels like the school year just started but yet I am ready to have the kids home for the summer.  I'm all mixed up and chasing myself in circles some days.  Other days I am extremely focused and productive.  Even though I have not been conducting classes in my home, I have been making cards for the Catholic Book Exchange in Allen.  Displayed below are some of the cards I have made this Spring.  I have mixed and matched stamps from Stampin Up! and Our Daily Bread Designs and made original e-cut designs on my Cricut using SCAL2.

May you have a Blessed Day.

I used Stampin Up Natural Ivory (101849), Brushed Gold (102935), Gumball Green (126840)and Print Poetry Paper Stack Paper (retired), with an original geometric e-cut design for the card front and computer image for the banner.

I used Stampin' Up! Textured Perfect Plum (retired), Basic Black (121045), Glossy White (102599) Specialty papers, Clear (109130) and Silver (109131) Embossing Powder, 1/4" Perfect Plum ribbon (retired), Perfect Plum ink refill (102107), Mosaic Madness Stamp Set (130249) and Our Daily Bread Stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs with an traditional chalice e-cut design for the card front.

I used Whisper White (100730), Bashful Blue (retired), Crumb Cake (120953) Cardstock, Bashful Blue (retired) and Crumb Cake (126975) ink, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (132187), Layered Labels (127072), Just Believe (120453) Stamp Sets, Apothecary Accents Framelits die (127003) and an original e-cut design for the cross.

Advent

Preparing for the

coming of the Messiah

Advent means "the coming" and refers to the four-week season of preparation for the coming of Jesus on Christmas Day and the anticipation of His coming again.

Children of all ages can enjoy opening a new tin each day as Christmas draws near.  The story of Christ's birth unfolds with an ordered sequence of bible verses from His beloved discipes Matthew and Luke.  Sweeten the occasion with a surprise hidden inside.  Start or renew a family tradion with this orginal Advent set.

With my AMAZING Stampin' Up! software called My Digital Studio 2, I was able to create 24 unique designs for the covers of the tins.  The tins are round and seamless - no sharp edges.  My daughter served as my Artistic Design Supervisor.  Sarah Ahern inspired me with an Advent Calendar she made for her three children.

Order yours now at the Catholic Book Exchange - Keep me busy!

Sweet Treat Gift Tin

Can you believe it -Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

Come make a Valentine's Sweet Treat Gift Tin with me.  Each tin holds 4 Hershey's Snack Sized Candy Bars.  Pick a design or color and create your own Sweet Treat Tin.  The class fee is $10 for the first tin and $6 for each additional tin.  When you RSVP let me know how many gift tins you would like to make.

These tins are deceptively easy but they use a lot of tools.  Here are just the few I can think of: Texturz Embossing Plates; Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders; Movers & Shapers; Corner, Full Heart, Modern Label and Large Oval Punches;  French and English Sale-A-Bration Outlined Occasions and I {Heart} Heart Stamp Sets and some pretty ribbon too.

Class Fee: $10 for one Sweet Treat Tin with 4 Hershey's Snack Sized Candy Bars
Each additional Treat Tin $6
Bring two friends that have never stamped with me before and
I'll give you the class for FREE!

Big Changes coming...

Dear Friends,

I feel like I have been detached from the “outside” world since the Christmas Holidays.  I apologize for neglecting my friendships.

My husband and I have been praying about some major changes for our family.  My wonderful daughter is about to enter middle school and that has me excited for the opportunities she will have but I am also concerned about the size of the schools she will attend after her elementary school career ends.  Allen has top notch schools.  Chandler Elementary School has been wonderful for my children but we are going to move into the much smaller Lovejoy School District.  We are building a new home only two miles east of where we already live.  Sounds like déjà vu to me.  Just five and a half years ago we moved two miles east to this house.

I am excited to be building a custom home with a great craft room and spacious kitchen.  Both will be inspiring for creativity and cooking.  As we put the final details to the floor plans I will keep you updated on our building process.

As wonderful as this home had been for us we must part with it.  The FOR SALE sign is in the front yard and it will soon hit the MLS listings.  I have A LOT of un-decorating to do first.  If you know of anyone who wants a well-cared-for home in Parker Lake Estates please refer them my way.

Many Blessings,

Kim

4 bed rooms, 3 full bathrooms, Family Room, Game Room, Bonus Room, Study/Office, Formal Dining Room, Kitchen with large Breakfast area, Over-sized 3 car Garage, Pool with Spa and a large back yard.  Amazingly colorful, professionally designed drought tolerant landscaping.  Thanks for looking!

Craft Room Creativity

Yesterday I was in full swing designing cards for April. This is what my room looked like before I cleaned it up.

And this morning it looked like this...

I have many hansome helpers, don't I? Ginger and Sophie are sisters. They are almost five years old. Grape is our youngest cat. She is not quite a year old ~kittens are so much fun. Cooper, the dog, is our newest family member. He came to us on New Year's eve eve, December 30, 2010. Cooper was in foster care after being found wandering the streets in chilly November. Our vet thinks he is about six years old. For the most part... everyone gets along.

Happy Daylight Savings Time ~ yeah, right!
