This is my first attempt to blog. How am I doing so far? This is such creative fun! All these colors and textures and combinations! It can get very overwhelming very fast.

Crafting with Kim has a catchy sound to it, doesn't it? I have been playing with crayons, paint, fabric, paper and the such for as long as I can remember. My mother was a professional decorative painter and my grandmother was a quilter. Once my husband and I moved to Texas I began to work in a a quilt store. WOW! Wonderful eye candy! I spent more than I made (easily). Then I worked for a sewing machine store in the retail part of the store as well as teaching quilting classes. One thing I love about quilting is that there are many different ways to do things. Card making and scrapbooking are similar in this way. Let your creative juices flow!

About 2 1/2 years ago a friend brought me to a card making class. I was hooked. No more shopping at Hallmark for me. Handmade cards are a wonderful expression of your thoughts and creativity all in one. Did I say I was hooked? This replaced quilting as my primary hobby.

In January I joined the Stampin' Up! family. I do not know why I did not do this sooner. I got the "My Digital Studio" software and more stampin' stuff. I have enjoyed sharing my love for card making with others and this blog is a way to share with friends and family both near and far. I invite you to grow, learn and play with me!
